Man I don't know ... built this one out of curiosity, since most of David Main's pedals meet my taste regarding sound - especially when it comes to downtuned Kyuss, Sabbath and Saint Vitus stuff ... but Ezekiel 25:17 didn't convince me at all ... at least on guitar. Might very well be that this baby brings down the walls of Jericho when used with bass ... if anyone is interested in purchasing this, drop me a mail.
Frequency Central's Rick Holt designed this circuit originally called "Le Craquement Thermionique". Based upon the Super Hard-On circuit that Rick refined with a superheated mode, he added quite a fexible Big Muff Tonestack and enriched the already blowing signal by running it into a 5840 submini pentode tube (switchable to triode mode). This beast has lots of gain and fuzz on top when played stand-alone, but played into an already crunching or overdriven amp, the sound immediately starts singing like sweet birds in a tube. Also it glows blue ... wicked!
The geniuses (or genies?) over at runoffgroove developed this workalike of the old Big Muff. The circuit idea bases upon a CMOS and derives its name from the fractal approximation of Pi. Among the classic Big Muff sound this device is equipped with two more modes (flat and scoop) making this Muff really flexible and unique.
Have a look at the Acrylic glass between bottom plate and enclosure which is illuminated by a blue LED when engaged.
"Frankenstein! Frankenstein the legend, Frankenstein the indestructable! Ripped up, wiped out, battered, shatteres, creamed, and reamed ... a dancer on the brink of death ... Frankenstein, who lost a leg in '98, an arm in '99!"
This small masterpiece is a must-have!The Reptile excels in its dark chocolate lower mid growl. "Though it's not over-the-top gain wise you can get a super rich, fat attack". Get blown away by how touch dynamic this pedal is.

Customer quote: "this fuzz doesn't play nice and clean up to gauzey pixie firelight dance mandolin tremolo levels--its full on brootishness frightens the poor little Sidhe into headbanging moshery as they run screaming from their previously peaceful forest glade."
